As of August 24 we have a 3 year old in the house and he is so proud of his big new age! We had a great weekend celebrating M's bday. Bri's parents came up for the weekend to celebrate with us. Because of the busyness of school starting we celebrated on Saturday with lots of presents from grandparents and cake and ice cream that night. Our neighbors joined us for the celebration with their girls who M adores. It was fun and simple. One of the gifts we got M was a goldfish, whom he affectionately named Basketball, so I did a little fishy theme for the cake. I got the idea from Rachel Ray, and it turned out pretty cute. His favorite gift was probably the pirate ship he got complete with pirates with swords, and a cannon that really shoots cannon balls! It's pretty fun.
There are so many things I love about M but here are just a few....
* How in touch he is with his and others feelings.
* He's a great communicator....funny, serious, thoughtful.
* His playfulness.
* How he loves to learn about anything and everything.
* That he loves Jesus at such a young age and knows that He loves him.
* How he loves and protects his sisters.
