Happy Birthday K & T!
Birthday Girls!
Our girls are one year old today! And to be honest it's kinda been a roller coaster of a day for Brian and I emotionally. It hasn't been a happy celebration day (that comes Saturday at their party) but more of a day of looking back and remembering where we were last year at this time, and where we have come from. There is so much to be thankful for but at the same time it is hard to think of where are little girls were at this time last year. Oh, what a year it has been! Here are some remembered moments...
- bringing them home and putting them together for the first time
- lots and lots of diapers
- bottles and bottles everywhere before they were nursing
- little little sleep
- pumping around the clock, so it seemed
- laundry, and more laundry
- learning to nurse the both of them at the same time
- teeny tiny bodies to wash poop blow outs off of
- cries of hold me, I'm hungry, I'm tired, I'm dirty etc.
- lots of spit up
- little sleep
- special moments in the middle of the night feedings
- seeing them both snuggle together, inseparable 24/7 for the first 3 months
- their smell
- those 5 am feedings Bri and I would do together in our bed and then they would sleep on our chests
- the proud big brother who was instantly protective
- watching Wheel of Fortune at their 7pm feeding as a family
- our first family car ride

Watch out for Miss T!
Oh my goodness Miss T has been on a rampage this last week. Take a look at all this girl has "accomplished"!
- She has pulled a small end table over on top of her 3x
- She found the one plant we have inside and ate the dirt and spread it all over the carpet
- She ate her poop! Oh yes a whole mouthful. Nothing like doing the finger sweep to get a bunch of poop out of your child's mouth! Sick.
- She pulls herself up now in her crib and talks to her sister in her crib
- She screams when her yogurt snack is all gone
- Disassembled her breathing treatment machine, poured out the medicine on the carpet, unplugged the machine from the wall and then was going for the outlet when I caught her.
T just finished her yogurt.

7 months

Our girls are 7 months old today! I can't believe it, really. They are amazing little girls that make us smile and laugh all the time. On Sunday, Mother's Day, they were dedicated at church. It was special that it was on Mother's Day. This picture is from their dedication. (K is on the left and T on the right) They wore these pink linen dresses my mom got them and gold cross necklaces they got for Christmas from my grandparents. They looked beautiful!
At seven months now they have hit yet another fun stage. They are really interacting with one another and with M. He is their little entertainer. They love it and so does he! And it's also very helpful to us. They are still about a pound and a half apart, T still the bigger one. But K is catching up! T can pretty much sit up on her own and K is almost there. About 6 weeks ago they started sleeping in their own beds and since then they have slept through the night. Amazing! Love it. They are full of smiles and giggles. K is always sticking her tongue out and kicking her legs. T lets us know when she is upset or tired by spitting. They have started eating cereal and have had squash a couple times. They may still be small for their age but they love to eat!
We feel like we are in a pretty good routine these days and really enjoying our kids.

5 months + 1 week
The girls are 5 months old now (last week). They are growing growing growing. K-10.12 and T- 12.7. Still quite a bit difference in weight. They both have rolled over, talk, giggle and smile all the time. K has become a little mama's girl, loves to be held. T has always been daddy's girl. I think because Brian was the only person T saw for the first 10 days of her life while she was in the hospital. But K is growing on Brian each day with her adorable little smile that can melt anyone's heart. They are starting to move around a lot in their bed and waking each other up by kicking the other in the head! I think 2 cribs are in our near future. Here they are having a little chat. Can you guess who is who???
